The Routes to Roots Film Festival is based in The Strand Theatre in downtown Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario, Canada.
The Strand Theatre underwent major renovations a few years ago when it was purchased by Kent and Cindy Rapley. Projectors were upgraded to digital in January 2013, making The Strand one of the few small town theatres to survive the transition from celluloid to digital.
