NORFOLK COUNTY, Ont. – August 8, 2018 – The second annual Routes to Roots Film Festival will be held on September 21-22, 2018 at the Strand Theatre in downtown Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario.  For the 2018 Routes to Roots Film Festival (R2RFF), 4 feature films and a variety of short films have been selected, including a fun sampling of family friendly shorts that will be shown on Saturday morning and are appropriate for all ages.

Below is the scheduled start time for each of the films.

  • Family Friendly Shorts (Free admission, appropriate for all ages) – 10:30am
  • Sami Blood – 11:45am
  • I Am Not A Witch – 2:45pm
  • Shorts (Ages 18+) – 6:45pm

Before the start of each film, there will be a short pre-show talk. Norfolk Popcorn Party

Norfolk County is home to the Ontario Popping Corn Company, Canada’s largest producer of popping corn, owned and operated by Livia and Blair Townsend ( In conjunction with R2RFF, the first Norfolk Popcorn Party will be held on Saturday September 22nd.
